James Durbin is in it to win it, predicts Randy Jackson

Following tonight's American Idol Season 10 performance where the top 6 finalists belted out songs from singer/songwriter Carole King's catalogue, Idol judge and music producer Randy Jackson went on to predict that rocker James Durbin may be the new American Idol. "This guy just might win the whole thing!" and went on to hug the Idol contestant. The 21-year-old San Franciscan rendered "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow" popularized by The Shirelles and written by Carole King with her former husband, Gerry Goffin, in their teens.

James' performance was lauded both by the other two Idol Judges. "It was magical. You're the star of the night" said Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler agreed, "It was beautiful." Throughout the competition, even since the beginning of the Top 13, James has been consistent with his performances, even likened to Idol alumnus Adam Lambert with their style of singing, and James was never in the bottom three.

Will it be James Durbin winning Idol? Find out if Randy Jackson's prediction will come true in the next elimination night as another Idol hopeful's dream will come to an end.
